BMRA TMTC

Located high atop the Barnwell Mountains of East Texas is one of the state's most exciting motorized off-road parks - The Barnwell Mountain Recreational Area!

Opened in 2000, this Texas Motorized Trails Coalition (TMTC) property offers dirt bikes, UTVs and OHVs 1,850 acres of pure delight. There are 27+ miles of single track trails for dirt bikes and many more miles of challenging trails for UTVs and OHVs. There is a 16 mile Adventure Trail for the dirt biker or ATV rider looking for a less demanding ride and there are trails that even the novice UTV and OHV riders will enjoy!

Barnwell Mountain has primitive camp sites throughout the park. Campers are welcome to enjoy the park's shower facilities, remote pavilions, and dump station.

The park's electric camp has thirty and fifty amp hook-ups for recreational vehicles. These twenty pull through sites can accomodate any length vehicle. They have no water or sewer hook ups but water and a dump station are available near the premium rv sites.

Eight premium rv spaces are available just north of the electric camp. These spaces offer fifty amp electrical connections and water and sewer hook ups. They are pull through spaces and can accomodate any size vehicle with the exception of spaces seven and eight that should be restricted to thirty four feet or less.

All guests can enjoy the showers facilities at the office or near the pavilion. There are also several toilets placed throughout the park for your convenience.

The park also has six cabins and five bunkhouses available for nightly rentals.

The Barnwell Mountain facilities and trail system were designed for motorized off-road purposes. The trail system was developed and is maintained by all-volunteer TMTC members. The trails are mapped and rated with signage at the trail heads.

Whether you are an off-road pro, a novice, or something in between, you will find adventure for the whole family in a very unique and beautiful setting at Barnwell Mountain!
