March 2-4, 2012 - MegaRun XII
MEGARUN XII will be held at Barnwell Mountain Recreational Area (BMRA) in Gilmer, Texas on Friday, March 02, 2012.
Five vehicle classes (Mild, Wild, Extreme, Unlimited, and UTV) allow participants to compete against similar rigs.
You will be allowed to do trail rides in any classification (the trail leader must approve drivers who wish to
participate in a trail ride for a class that is higher than their registered class). This allows for groups of
friends to come to the event, run together, and have a good time. The event consists of five main stages. Friday
evening there will be a Poker Run trail ride for competitors to get their trail legs ready for the weekend. Saturday
will start with an AM trail ride. Lunch time can be spent eating and we will begin running the Rock Garden, the
optional Obstacle Course, the Blind Mans Bluff, and fixing your rigs from the morning's fun. At the end of the day,
a meal will be served and we will hold an awards ceremony and raffle off some 4x4 gear. Sunday morning, bright and
early, we will hold the King of the Hill challenge. Addittional information is available from the

March 22-25, 2012 - South Central Area Rover Rally
Land Rover enthusiasts from around the region will be coming to Barnwell Mountain Recreationa Area for the 2012
South Central Area Rover Rally (SCARR) hosted by the Texas Rovers. The park will be closed to public

April 19-22, 2012 - Lone Star Toyota Jamboree
Toyota lovers will be headed to Barnwell Mountain on April 19th for the 2012 Lone Star Toyota Jamboree.
Attendees will enjoy some great Texas style outdoor fun and comrodery. The park will be closed to public
during this event. More information is available from

April 27-29, 2012 - Spring Work Weekend
It's time once again for the BMRA Spring Trail Clean-up Weekend! Come on out by yourself or with your
club and help maintain the trails for yours and others riding enjoyment and enhanced safety. We'll
make sure all solo workers are paired up with a work buddy or group.
Please bring your own tools. All entry fee's are waived for trail workers. If you work a half day,
you can wheel a half day. If you work whole day, you can wheel a whole day. We will be serving
hamburgers, hotdogs and cold drinks for all workers on Saturday only. Please remember to
complete the volunteer log book to record all your volunteer hours. Hope to see many of you
at Barnwell during trail clean-up!
